I’ve started a new youtube series entitled “Wanderings” where I basically have fun walking around beautiful and interesting places capturing images. Here is my first one of a place a few minutes walk from my home: Duck River which flows into the Auburn Botanic Gardens home of peacocks and Asian gardens.

Refugee rights protests were held in Sydney on July 19, as part of a national day of action, to mark seven years since the then-Kevin Rudd Labor government sent the first refugees to offshore detention on Manus Island and Nauru. The Rudd government was also the first to implement a policy that no one who arrives via boat to seek asylum would be resettled in Australia.

During the hardest lockdown in Sydney over April and May I created a series of videos for Green Left discussing different aspects of the lockdown measures and how COVID-19 and the government’s response relates to capitalism and the ecological crisis.
