Thousands surroud Parliament House demanding action

A few thousand climate activists formed a human chain around Parliament House in Canberra on the opening day of parliament to demand climate action February 4. The protest brought together a myriad of community groups and activists from across the country who called on Federal MPs to declare a climate emergency. The action is part of a week-long People’s Climate Assembly during which activists outside Parliament House are running workshops, performances and actions and discussing next steps for the climate movement.
